Selfishly Unselfish

Serving others is the pinnacle of leadership.

Yet, it's not the starting point.

Walking the path of servant leadership without sufficient self-mastery too often leads to burnout and ineffective guidance. When we prioritizing curiosity, intentionality, and self-care, we establish a robust foundation for authentically guiding our teams and families.

It’s not about choosing between self-interest and selflessness, it's about achieving balance. Through the integration of personal growth with service to others, a leadership style emerges that's sustainable and impactful.

They embody the courage to be authentic, the wisdom to nurture themselves, and the strength to uplift others. When we are full, we can give to our fullest, allowing us to have the greatest possible impact on the world around us.

And it leaves me wondering: is an unselfish focus on ourselves the missing component to incredible leadership at home and at work?
